Since the spring of 2002, I have been traveling. If you want details, go to my current calendar and my blog entries. Since Mary Ann and I have begin, about half of each year is spent at home in Hutto, Texas, while the rest of the time we travel the country in an internet enabled RV, with a few side trips via plane to places where the RV can't go, like Europe or Africa.

Typically, we attend several Science Fiction and Fantasy cons during the year. These provide the fixed times and places upon which a tour is constructed. Mary Ann, who is an award winning nature photographer, locates parks and wildlife refuges which we then attempt to visit going from place to place. Add to that the mechanical problems and unanticipated delays that come from living in an RV, and every trip is a new and memorable experience.

My writing has adapted. I type away on my laptop while Mary Ann sneaks up on nature. It hasn't hurt my production. Whether sitting in a comfortable chair watching the ski slopes or with my laptop propped up on the steering wheel waiting for Mary Ann to frame her shots, I am writing more enjoyable fiction than I have at any other time in my life.
